Gourmet China II Reviews
2x been here---Food,service,& ambience are all okay.I must say they're friendly among other Asian to go spots in the area(some just know to take your order when walking in the place and asked for here or to go).Cooks was so fast & efficient ordering out the lunch menu... Thank You for a great service
Love this place and wish I had discovered it sooner. The employees are kind and efficient, the food comes out quick and hot and is very tasty. I'm most impressed by in-hpuse dining presentations and how many vegetables they put into their food. Their wonton soup has a ton of veggies! Same with their Spicy Garlic Shrimp. And it's a huge variety: zucchini, carrot, green pepper, mushroom, celery. In the soup was carrots, boy choy, broccoli and I believe one more I currently forget. Their pork fried rice is also delicious. Prices are extremely reasonable for the economy were in right now. AND you can get their soup to-go unlike many other Chinese places! I highly recommend making this place a regular contender for meal time.
Another great visit and feast at one of our favorite Chinese restaurants. Always fast and friendly service. They make their food fresh to order and the price is great with large portions of food. Small little casual spot.
Listen, I don't mean to be controlling but I'm the foodie, I do my research because I love good food. When my mans suggested we go to a spot I had done no research on because, and I quote, "It's next to the bar we're meeting them at and we drive by it to go to work everyday," I was a bit nervous. Thankfully, I pulled out my Yelp app while we were driving and I saw Gourmet China II has a great rating and some pretty good reviews. We walked in and were asked if we would be ordering take-out or dining in. We were dining in so she told us we could sit anywhere. The lady working the phone/register/handling all the tables was a whirlwind of energy but it wasn't frenetic, it was like a ballet. She told us she felt bad that the service was not great because she was alone today but I thought we had great service. She took our orders quickly and we got all of our items quickly and correctly. The place is a bit small and the décor and the menus on the wall are a bit distracting and a bit disjointed but honestly it made the place feel very homey and lived in. It reminded me of the mom and pop shops I used to frequent when I was a kid. The food here is great too. There were only two of us so we got honey ginger chicken and beef chow fun. Best chow fun I've had in this city. Such great flavor and texture and not greasy. We couldn't finish and reheated our leftovers for breakfast the next day and they were just as good. I'm glad this place is on our route to work because it'll be easy to stop by to grab some take-out when I'm too lazy to cook.
Food is delicious and for the price makes that much better. Quality ingredients and healthy portions. Lady who served us was so joyful and awesome. Glad I found this place. Could probably eat here twice a week easily
